Tik Tok Laboratories is a loose collection of brigands and cold women who have developed a highly disciplined, organic method of breaking down old things to make them sound new, or alternatively vice versa. Formed originally from the cracked metropole of Berlin, Germany, our organization has scoured the pits and peaks of tupperware-culture with international handmade music, and our Laboratory is proud to offer the issue of this research and labor, blind and raw though it may be.

Behold! a brand new anachronism celebrating its sudden demise! Come, see the future band that is no longer possible! We are a meat grinder, the small man gaping at the billboard, the narrow-eyed wife at the kitchen table, the numbed voice our source material. What is alive in what is dead, or alternatively vice versa; we are not musicians, we are living mechanics.

A four to seven piece band on three tours across the United States and through Europe: banjo, accordion, piano (grand and upright), bass, horn, clarinet, megaphone, percussion. As organo-mechanics, everything must be contaminated: our CDs and live show have drawn the descriptions "Junk-Cabaret," " Redneck-Klezmer," and " My Acid Dream". Our drummer plays standing up, or not at all; the accordion studied classical music at the University of Seville in Spain. The other two are landlords and tax collectors.
